A Seacreature Birthday party!

I finally finished the sea animals and the "1st birthday" party i created with them. I designed the animals and the products. My client wanted the turtle to be the main character on the items.  She even let me know she bought her little boy an outfit with turtles to wear at the party. Such a cute idea. I love having such supportive clients who let me have the freedom to play and creat something just for them. so here are some photos i took before delivering them.

I am finally in the swing of things and getting out to local business fairs and markets with my watercolors.
I am currently selling..one of a kind photo mats, prints of my work on bookmarks, greeting cards and cupcake toppers.
I am also in the process of finding a printer for my 12 x 12 work.
I hope to see you all out and about in town. This weekend i will be at the Saturday market in Land O lakes.
May 1 st , i will be participating in the Moms Network (Walk among the Flowers) mothers day event.
This event will be at Hollies Nursery off of us 41 in Lutz.

I haven't posted in a while so i decided to share what i have been working on lately. I have tried to create scenes as opposed to just one or two characters.

Trying new things

Isn't it fun to try new crafts or art forms? I always find it a challenge to try something new but i get determined to figure it out. This past month i decided to teach myslef crochet and tutu making.

First, i mad a tutu out of tulle for my daughter to be a bumble bee.

Then, I checked out library books on crochet and youtube for crochet videos.

I created a purse and matching hat first.

Then, Hubby wanted a hat so i used gray for the Buccanners football team(pewter). The hat was too wide and wound up looking more like a womens hat so i added a flower and now *I* have two hats! Hehe!

Next I tried Amigurumi (animals and toys) made with crochet. The pumpkin was cute but making circles and balls is not as easy as it looks!.

Finally, I tried the butterfly headband. It is a bit big for my younger daughter so i will probably shorten them in the future.

I have so many things i want to try so if you have a favorite crochet pattern, i would love to give it a try!

Halloween festival display

Just a few of my crafts that i will be displaying at Harvester United methodist church's Fall festival. My club The Moms Network will have a wonderful array of items to purchase so come on by on October 24th from 9-2.
